The Airport management Department oversees the safe and efficient operation of Seychelles International Airport and Praslin Airport, ensuring compliance with national and international safety standards.

Key Divisions & Responsibilities:

• Standards, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs: Ensures adherence to Seychelles Technical Standards, conducts safety inspections, and acts as the focal point for aerodrome regulatory matters.
• Airport Fire and Rescue Services: Provides emergency response to aircraft accidents/incidents, including fire suppression, rescue operations, and sea rescue capabilities.
• Terminal & Landside Operations: Manages passenger flow, baggage handling, and logistics to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Airside Operations: Oversees runway, taxiways, and apron management, ensuring safety and compliance with ICAO regulations.
• Airport Engineering & Asset Management: Maintains and upgrades airport infrastructure while managing contracts and service quality.
• Praslin Airport: Handles over 1,100 aircraft movements and 10,000+ passengers monthly, providing essential services for travelers and businesses, including international check-in and security.
• Airport Planning, Performance and Transformation: This unit oversees the performance of the Airport Management Department, drives operational planning, and leads innovation in automation and digitalization. Its core functions include flight scheduling, environmental and emergency planning, permit systems, service contracts, and technology transformation.
• Airport Safeguarding and Development: Ensures the safety and operational efficiency of the aerodrome while accommodating future growth and development.
